Awhile
back I started seeing collaged tags created on 6.25” x 3” cardstock Inventory
Tags. I liked the idea of a “preprinted background”. I decided I wanted to make tags using these Inventory
Tags too. I started searching where to
buy some and found them kind of expensive in lots of 10. I also priced buying a box of these tags from
Uline, Staples, and Office Depot – oh, my, very expensive! So, when I ran
across an eBay listing selling a box of 500 (w/free postage) at a price less
than I’d seen for 100, I hit the “Buy-it-Now” button! The tags are sequentially numbered 01 to 500.
For Tag No. 01, the focal point is a butterfly I found in a vintage book of Insects. I
used old Bingo card numbers, an old game letter “E”, Washi tapes, half a doily
I spritzed with Dylusion's fresh lime spray ink, and a paper scrap I scalloped with a paper punch.

For
Tag No. 02, I covered the preprinted background with black and white and red papers
and Washi tape. The words and numbers
are from an old red and white Bingo card. The turtle was a free download I found online.

These
little tags seem as if they should take just minutes to make but I learned the
process, for me anyway, was slow while I searched for a subject, decided on a color
combo, and went through several shoeboxes of vintage ephemera. After making these first two tags I regrouped
my collage supplies so, hopefully, I can work more efficiently in the future.
Happy creating! ... Barb
