I received an e-mail from a nearby scrap book store, Collective Journey, but didn’t open if for a few days. When I did I checked their class schedule for April. As I looked over the list, the class entitled “Paper Dolls” caught my eye. When I clicked the link I saw it was being taught by Julie Nutting the next day! I couldn’t call fast enough to see if there was a seat available. Lucky for me there was! (See my 4/2/2012 post to learn more about Julie.)
We each made two Collage Couture Tags . . . one in a simple dress and the other with a jacket added. Julie provided the body and dress templates and a paper lunch bag of embellishments, paper scraps, flowers, and ribbons. She also brought a lot of her background stamps and inks for us to share. The two hours flew by and we all left excited about making more of these little paper dolls.
I was able to quickly snap a couple shots of the tags Julie brought along as examples she’d made . . . aren’t they adorable?
I’m pretty pleased with the two I made although I was kinda heavy handed with the rouge – ha. I can’t wait to use a little fashion girl on a future canvas!
Have a great week – I’ll be back soon . . . Barb
