I have my first follower! None other than fabulous artist Julie Nutting, author of Collage Couture. Thank you Julie for the kind words you left in Comments. I really appreciate them!
While I have paper dolls on my mind I am reminded of a class I took a few years ago on making articulated paper dolls. Articulated means the dolls are built in sections and hinged to allow flexibility. The instructor was Lisa Guerin (http://lisaguerin-artblog.blogspot.com/) who teaches art classes all over Southern CA and whose work has appeared in many art magazines. Lisa provided stamps from the “Clearly Constructed” line of stamps by Catherine Moore for the class to share. I now own several of these sets myself . . . they are so darn cute. I must confess I haven’t continued making articulated dolls but who knows when the stamps will come out again and be used!
I will leave you today with a look at my first articulated paper doll “Lady Lisa” (named for the instructor).
